The registration period for the IUPS 2026 Beacon meeting in Japan was closed on June 15th.
A total number of 98 participants have registered, 41 coming from Japan and 57 from overseas, most of them from Asian countries (a huge number coming from Taiwan) but also Africa, Europe and the U.S. There will be 74 poster presentations. 15 travel grants were assigned to overseas participants and another 7 to participants from Japan. Selections of grant applications were made based on the relevance of the research to the symposium theme and the scientific quality of the submitted work.The organizers also placed considerable emphasis on geographical diversity and sought to support participants from a broad range of countries, including developing countries, within the limits of the available budget.
In their third year of existence, the IUPS Beacon meetings, continue attracting an ever increasing number of participants from all over the world. This is no surprise considering the highly attractive program, the format favouring intensive networking and th e unique opportunity of getting latest cutting edge physiology presented by internationally highly renowned experts in their fields!
