News from the general assembly of IUPS

The general assembly of IUPS member societies has elected yesterday a new executive committee and a new council for the period from 2025-2029, The new executive committee is chaired by Prof. Yoshihiro Kubo, (Japan, new IUPS president), The two vice presidents are Prof. Alicia Mattiazzi (Argentina) and Prof. Holly Shiels (UK), Prof. Gary Sieck (USA) was re-elected as treasurer, the new secretary general ( as of January 2026) will be Prof. W.E. Louch (Norway). Congratulations to the new team!

The next IUPS congress will be held 2029 in Kobe, Japan.

More details (revised constitution) and members of the new council can be found soon on this website. Give us a few days!
