The recent and very well organized Europhysiology Congress in Copenhagen was not only a truly pan-European scientific highlight but also a good opportunity to meet friends again and to enjoy the atmosphere of a vibrant city with a lot of history. It attracted more than 1200 registered participants who enjoyed excellent plenaries, symposia and vibrant poster discussions.

After a long time during which the Covid Pandemic has made large in-person-meetings nearly impossible. as a consequence the IUPS Congress 2022, for the first time in more than 50 years, had to be held as a completely virtual meeting. But now, in-person meetings are back again providing excellent opportunities to enjoy first-hand science but also to meet colleagues, to develop research projects and to network with experts in the field.

We are looking forward to the physiology congresses in 2023 and beyond which are part of the “Year of Physiology”!
