New IUPS mentoring program: seeking mentors

The IUPS is introducing a mentoring program that will pair early-career physiology educators in Africa with two mentors, one from Africa and one from outside of Africa. Mentors will be experienced physiology educators. A task force has identified 19 mentees, and several African physiologists have volunteered to be mentors. The task force is seeking volunteers form outside of Africa who are willing to volunteer for this program. We are asking physiological societies to identify up to three candidates who will be willing to mentor early career physiology educators from Africa.

Names of potential mentors (or questions about the program) can be emailed to the co-chair of the task force: Susan Barman (barman@msu.edu) and Simiat Elias (simiat.elias@aku.edu)
