IUPS continues supporting teaching workshops – the most recent example is the teaching workshop “On line Assessments for Learning and Evaluating Pre-Clinical Sciences” organized by the Physiological society of Sri Lanka and the National University of Singapore held in Colombo on Nov 19th. It was conducted as a hybrid workshop, with resource persons joining from Singapore, United States and Sri Lanka. 72 participants from South Asian countries attended the workshop which was offered free thus enabling participants with limited resources to make the best use of the valuable workshop. The interactive workshop shared the best evidence-based practices and the National University of Singapore’s journey in the use of technology to incorporate on line assessment for their undergraduate programs and additionally focused on the regional barriers to implementing on line assessments and how they could be overcome.
