Physiology translated to Medicine

The Commission of Experimental Cardiology (KEK) at the Slovak Physiological Society and the Czech Physiological Society and the Institute for Heart Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences organizes annual conferences alternating between the Czech Republic, Moravia and
Slovakia. This year (October 12-14) the main topic was “Calcium and the cardiovascular system – positive vs. negative effects”. This cooperation of these physiological societies and a Cardiology Society, which offered an interesting program consisting of experimental and clinical presentations underpins the role of physiology as an essential basic science for medicine. Congratulations to the organizers!
